Continuous alkali-free glass fiber accounts for 30-40% and 20-25% of the cost; it is made by melting and drawing minerals such as quartz sand and limestone, then coating them with coupling agents. This process is energy-intensive and sensitive to natural gas prices. The remaining approximately 5% consists of compatibilizers, heat stabilizers, and nucleating agents. Raw materials together account for 75-80% of the ex-factory price, making the polyamide resin market the primary driver of cost fluctuations.
